Clerk Obtains Tag Number Of Shoplifters
A clerk at a Lawrenceburg business was able to provide law enforcement officers with descriptions of the suspects and their license plate number in the wake of a shoplifting incident Saturday.
Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department responded to Dollar General Store on West Gaines Street shortly before 9:00 a.m. An employee reported that two men had taken items while inside the store, then left without paying for them.
The employee told officers that one of the men took a pair of ear buds and concealed them in the pocket of his hoodie. She said she had been unable to see the exact item taken by the second man.
She said she confronted one of the men and that he became extremely agitated. When they pair went to their vehicle she was able to obtain a license plate number and a description of their Jeep Cherokee.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing at the current time.
